Alternative options for students with foreign university aspirations

Alternative options for students with foreign university aspirations

“Many universities in India offer education of an international standard and incorporate faculty with industry experience. A small number also offer pathway programmes to international universities that allow students to study the first half of the course in India and the balance at a foreign university campus,” says Akhil Shahani, managing director, The Shahani Group.

Thadomal Shahani Centre For Management (TSCFM) allows applicants to get an MBA and BBA degree from reputed UK universities. “The students study the majority of the courseware in our campus in Mumbai with the last 2-3 modules being given online via our partner UK universities. The tuition fees for such pathway programmes is at least half or one-third of the fees charged abroad,”

Citing a report by Consultancy UK, he says, “An estimated 47% of international students have cancelled or delayed their plans to attend universities in western countries. Whereas, post the crisis, we have observed an increase in the number of enrolments in the pathway programmes,” adds Akhil Shahani, managing director, The Shahani Group.”
