TSCFM Alumni shares his Journey to TSCFM

TSCFM Alumni shares his Journey to TSCFM

As I was focused on majorly studying about the engineering side of aircraft, it was easy for me to choose and go forth with the stream of Science.

While I was researching about a lot of MBA colleges in Mumbai after my graduation, one of my friends who was also a senior during my bachelor’s stint, recommended me to complete my MBA from TSCFM as he too was completing his MBA from the same institute. What excited me the most about Thadomal Shahani Centre for Management was its well-designed curriculum, with the advantage of earning an MBA degree from an Ivy League University of the UK.

As I did not give the entrance exams required for an MBA programme, finding and getting admission to a reputed MBA college was quite challenging. Also, I was not interested in wasting a year in applying and giving entrance exams, waiting for results and then applying to a reputed MBA college. It was when I was recommended about TSCFM and on meeting their admissions team I realised that the college also gives an opportunity for students who did not give any entrance exams a chance to gain an admission through the PI round taken by one of the industry experts. This makes it a cakewalk for gaining admission in a reputed college like TSCFM.

Life during college was good. I would usually like to attend classes related to the subject of HR the most. Also, some of the other classes which I enjoyed were Project Management, Operations Management and some subjects related to marketing (as my minor postgraduation specialisation was in marketing). During my tenure in college, I participated in Ignite, the intra-college fest during the first year and was a part of the ignite core committee in the second year. As a person too I feel I have changed quite a lot, as TSCFM played as a catalyst and was an important part of my career graph that helped me learn and understand various verticals of a business, how they operate and lastly how to help businesses strategise and iterate the ever-changing gig markets.

I plan to grow up the corporate ladder by learning at each and every stage of my life and applying the various acquired skills during this learning process to the progression of the organisation I work in, mainly in the field of HR.
