Audible launches more Indian languages for growth

Audible, a part of e-trade massive Amazon, is working on including extra Indian languages to its ‘Suno’ carrier that gives audio stories and podcasts, because the employer looks to further make stronger its role in India.

Audible had entered India in November 2018, with quite a number audiobooks, and now has over 2 lakh titles available in the nation. In December final year, it launched Audible Suno – an India-first app – that offers extra than one hundred audio memories and podcasts free of charge in English and Hindi.

“Suno is to be had in just Hindi and English to date, and we have purposefully focused on the ones two languages due to the fact we do now not see too much fee in doing whatever it truly is half baked and do no longer need to unfold our efforts too thin.

“No doubt we are working on increasing Suno to other Indian languages. I assume that would take our target audience growth to different states as properly,” Audible Country Head (India) Shailesh Sawlani informed PTI.
