HDFC bank plans hiring 500 executives to expand MSME vertical
HDFC Bank will employ 500 relationship managers to expand the coverage of its Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) vertical to 575 districts or more before the end of this financial. Out of these 500 volunteers, half will be for the small and medium sub-vertical, which as of now has a headcount of 975. This hiring will take the private bank’s MSME vertical headcount to 2,500. India’s biggest private sector lender has a representative strength of around 1.23 lakh as of June end. 
 
“As we are extending our MSME footprint to 575 locales from 545 now, we are hiring more than 500 more to the 2,000-in number headcount at the MSME vertical this financial year. This should take the general headcount at the vertical to somewhat more than 2,500,” senior executive VP for business banking and healthcare finance Sumant Rampal told news organization PTI. 
 
HDFC Bank’s MSME portfolio focuses on sectors like auto parts, agri-processing, synthetics, consumer goods, creation, restaurants and hotels, pharma and paper industry, and materials and furthermore contains whole selling chain including wholesalers, retailers, distributors, stockists, and supermarkets.
