India’s GDP grew by 8.7% in FY22
India’s economic growth or GDP slipped to 4.1 percent in the final quarter of 2021-22, while yearly growth stood at 8.7 percent, as per the government data released on Tuesday. In the past financial 2020-21, the economy had contracted by 6.6 percent as the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted business activities.

The development was 20.1 percent, 8.4 percent, and 5.4 percent, in the first, second, and third quarters, separately, according to the information released by the National Statistical Office (NSO).

The GDP (GDP) had expanded by 2.5 percent in the relating January-March time of 2020-21, as per the NSO.

The Economic Survey postponed in Parliament in February had assessed the GDP development for the current fiscal (2022-23) in the scope of 8 – 8.5 percent.

As per the NSO information, India’s genuine GDP developed to ₹147.36 lakh crore from ₹135.58 lakh crore in 2020-21.

The NSO, in its subsequent development gauge, had projected GDP growth during 2021-22 at 8.9 percent China had enrolled an economic growth of 4.8 percent in the first three months of 2022.
