SBI dual lists $650mn green bonds on India INX & LSE

The State Bank of India (SBI) on November 22 double recorded $650 million green bonds at the same time on the India International Exchange (India INX) and Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE). Honoring the event of World Investor Week, the double posting coordinated with this year’s topic of Sustainable Finance,’ as shown by the administrative body, International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA)

The Bombay Stock Exchanges (BSE) global arm, India INX, had signed an MoU with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange on November 19, 2020, for participation in the financial services area. This double posting of green bonds is the initial move towards this coordinated effort.

V. Balasubramaniam, MD, and CEO, India INX, said, with this double posting we have ventured out towards our relationship with LuxSE. We will run after setting up a green passage with Luxembourg to enable Indian guarantors to naturally meet all requirements for double posting with LuxSE to get financial investors from Europe and the globe. India INX has now arisen as the main bond listing scene with more than a $33-billion listing.
