TCS sets sights on B2B e-commerce

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. has turned its sights on the $300 billion business-to-business e-commerce and the direct-to-consumer side of retail as a space for new business growth and to help worldwide customers tap client insights.

During its monetary second-quarter profit call, TCS Chief Executive Officer Rajesh Gopinathan said the organization is checking out new opportunities in B2B e-commerce and the D2C market for organizations in the consumer-packaged-goods (CPG) section and has as of now packed away various such deals across Europe and the US.

“The emergence of the B2B trade opportunity just as D2C has acquired in recent times. CPG organizations specifically have been investing into this D2C drive,” said Gopinathan. “We are enabling a quick shift to online e-commerce as a preferred channel from brick mortar stores, or aggregator retailers, helping our customers with setting up client connect, gain better margins and scale of business and volumes.”

A Swiss drug organization has chosen TCS to execute a hyper-customized D2C e-commerce consumer offering. It incorporates starting execution for three nations followed by a worldwide rollout across 30 plus markets more than three years, and support leveraging a leading commerce cloud platform.
