Amazon launches skill development programme in India

Amazon India on Tuesday stated it has launched a skilling programme underneath the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) throughout its warehouses in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

The initiative has been launched with pilot software for 1,000 apprentices, and will be scaled similarly, Amazon India stated in an assertion.

The organization goals at schooling youth whose studying adventure or placement become impacted due to COVID-19 pandemic. Apprentices may be identified through numerous assets along with NSDC-authorized education centres (DDU-GKY Centres) and the NSDC Skilling Database.

Amazon India Director of Human Resources (Customer Fulfilment) Swati Rustagi stated, “For us, skilling isn’t best significant but a sustainable and long-time period technique”.
