Digitization, job creation for economic growth
February 01, 2021
The past year has been very difficult for the world as a whole. The budget 2021-22 will have provisions for many learnings and takeaway which came out from the corona virus pandemic. There were many positives too that were made visible due to the covid-19 pandemic which showed the ability of the country to bounce back.
Last year before the complete nationwide lockdown, the Indian economy was growing at 4.1%. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the economy is expected to contract by 7.7%.
The government has a tough task to recover the economy from the contraction and hence must focus on infrastructure development which will boost the economic growth of the country.
The budget must allow more freedom for ease of doing business to support the vision of $5 trillion GDP by 2025. To encourage the Atma Nirbhari Bharat, it is important to boost domestic manufacturing across sectors. The textile industry needs a package of relief in Budget 2021-22.
