Facebook looking to back Indian start-ups

Facebook is going to invest in more start-ups in India. The company has already invested in social commerce platform Meesho and EdTech start-up unacademy.

Facebook India VP & MD Ajit Mohan said, “Facebook has made investments in Indian start-ups and the main focus is to accelerate even more. Menlo Park based company will invest more in start-ups and Facebook does not have restrictions on the investments in start-ups”.

According to the data from Statista, India is the biggest market for Facebook and WhatsApp in terms of customers.
