Paytm pitches to replace restaurant menus with QR code

Paytm is pitching to 10 state’s government to enable its ‘Scan to order’ QR code to contactless food ordering and payment at restaurants.
Users will be able to order food by just scanning the code at restaurants to access the menu and place orders and make payments by phone.
This is keep spreading of coronavirus and finding ways to reduce contact of bacteria.
Rohit Thakur, Chief Human Resource Officer of Paytm said, ’We believe that this is the right step to effectively accommodate the short-term impact and the long-term interests of our company and all employees.’
Paytm is also requesting the government to enable QR code-based food ordering functionality a part of “standard operating procedure for opening food establishments.”
