Snap launches Augmented reality glasses
May 21, 2021
Snap launched its first pair of increased reality (AR) glasses at the current year’s Snap Partner Summit. The new glasses are for AR creators, and will not be accessible commercially. These AR glasses let creators “overlay their Lenses directly onto the world, investigating better approaches to meld fun and utility through vivid AR.”
Snap’s most recent pair of Spectacles can extend Snapchat Lenses to genuine environmental factors through double 3D waveguide shows and a 2.63-degree field of view. The glasses are powered by the organization’s new Snap Spatial Engine that gives creators six levels of opportunity and hand, creator, and surface following. The glasses are furnished with 2 RGB cameras, 4 inherent amplifiers, 2 sound system speakers, and a touchpad too.
“Lenses react rapidly and show up precisely in your field of view with 15 millisecond movement to photon inactivity, and the presentation powerfully changes up to 2000 Nits of brightness to explore AR indoors or outside,” Snap explained in a blog.
