Vodafone partners with Google cloud

Vodafone Group PLC and the cloud division of Alphabet Inc’s. Google are planning to together develop data services, the Financial Times provided details reported on Sunday, referring to interviews with agents from both the organizations.

As indicated by the FT, around 1,000 workers in the U.K., Spain and the U.S. will be approached to make “Nucleus,” the new cloud-based storage and analytics portal, which will have Vodafone’s information. Nucleus will able to process around 50 terabytes of data daily inside the cloud.

As part of the six-year agreement Vodafone will move data from its own servers to Google Cloud. Vodafone and Google will likewise design a framework, called Dynamo, that will extract and move data across various nations where the telecoms company operates.

Both the organizations will likewise later on try to sell consultancy services to other worldwide organizations trying to move tremendous measures of information to the cloud. Vodafone’s chief technology officer, Johan Wibergh, told the FT that Nucleus will deal with 5,000 different data feeds.
