Shakti network powers HUL’s rural growth

Sneha Dwivedi, the most youthful individual from her group of six in Atiswa town of Lucknow locale, is a ‘Shakti’ miniature business person with Hindustan Unilever (HUL), delivering soaps, cleansers, and sanitizers to households.

Dwivedi is among the almost 1.4 lakh Shakti ‘ammas’ as the female business visionaries are called across 18 states covered by HUL’s Project Shakti. A country distribution organization of HUL, Shakti was set up to improve livelihoods and build opportunities for ladies miniature business visionaries in the hinterland.

Coronavirus didn’t deflect the 25-year old Dwivedi an alumni who hails from a group of ranchers from guaranteeing handwash and cleanliness items arrived at families in and around her town. At the point when individuals didn’t venture out to purchase their day by day use items at town stores, any likes of Dwivedi delivered something very similar from one house to another.

“Following the spread of Covid, initially, there were numerous obstacles in getting products across to families. Simultaneously, there was an demand for hand washes, soaps, and sanitizers which are all needed for cleanliness and wellbeing,” Dwivedi told TOI.
