WhatsApp testing ‘View Once’ feature
July 05, 2021
Similar to snaps on Snapchat, the instant messaging application WhatsApp is trying another feature that would permit clients to send vanishing photos and videos.
As per Mashable, the attached images or videos will vanish after being viewed, which may demonstrate useful for confidential business-related chats.
The feature has effectively rolled to WhatsApp beta analyzers on Android. Supposedly, if the test goes smoothly, the component will be rolled out for the general public as well.
WABetaInfo announced that the new element presently has a few downsides. For instance, a recipient can screenshot their phone to stay the picture past the auto-erase. Furthermore, on the off chance that you have perused receipts disabled, the sender can in any case see whether you’ve seen a photo or video. What’s more, blocked contacts can in any case see single-use attachments in the event that they’re a part of a standard group.
However, there is no data on when this new feature may roll out internationally, nor is there any notice of a rollout to iOS or desktop at this point.
