Zomato partners with govt for street food project

Food delivery organization Zomato is scaling up its program to help street vendors. It has onboarded 300 road sellers on its foundation, across six urban areas in the first phase.
The Deepinder Goyal-drove firm has marked a reminder of comprehension with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) under the Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNibhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme to locally available food street sellers on its foundation.
With this, these street vendors would have the option to serve their loyal clients inside the security of their own homes. They would likewise have the option to arrive at a lot bigger client base utilizing Zomato’s innovation and last-mile delivery service.

Based on learnings in a month, Zomato will upscale the activity to 125 urban areas. Zomato is hoping to make a more economical and side by side environment for food street vendors and encourage more prominent procuring openings for them. In the first phase, it will be working with 300 road food vendors across six urban areas Bhopal, Raipur, Patna, Vadodara, Nagpur, and Ludhiana.
