Freelancers scout for digital payment solutions

There has been a surge in call for digital charge solutions for freelancers due to the increased demand for gig people owing to layoffs and downsizing in agencies amid the Covid-19 pandemic, in step with a Bengaluru-primarily based marketplace for freelancers.

The adoption of virtual payment techniques became rising, with about 82% of clients surveyed making payments digitally in October as compared to 68% in August.

Within virtual, Unified Payments Interface saw rapid-paced adoption, with approximately 17% paying via UPI in October in comparison to 8% in August.

Sensing the growing call for freelancers, charge gateway Razorpay introduced a price button in August to enable corporations and freelancers to feature a single line of code on their internet site or blog and pass live with an included fee gateway in less than 5 minutes. The characteristic also helps international bills.

“Razorpay’s Payment Buttons provide agencies with the option of accepting bills for selling more than one merchandise, services, and activities with exceptional charge tiers for the duration of a single button. Since the launch of Razorpay’s Payment Buttons in August, over 40% of latest user registrations for the product were freelancers,” an enterprise spokesperson stated.
