WhatsApp pay doubles its UPI transactions

Facebook-claimed WhatsApp Pay multiplied its UPI exchanges volume in December, short of preparing 1,000,000 payments.
Notwithstanding a deferred passage into the quickly developing Unified Payments Interface (UPI) environment, WhatsApp Pay prepared 0.81 million UPI transactions worth ₹29.72 crore, an over 100% increment in both volume and worth contrasted with November, information delivered by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) appeared.

An aggregate of 2.2 billion exchanges worth ₹4.16 lakh crore were handled on UPI in December.
